Obstacle Departure Procedure

If ATC doesn't provide any course guidance to the first fix in the IFR clearance, the pilot can always fly the Obstacle Departure Procedure (ODP) if one exists for the airport.

About LPPA

Mission: To experience the love of flying and to promote, educate and share that passion with others.

Membership: Active members include instructors, experienced pilots, student pilots of all levels and flying enthusiasts.

2008 Objectives: LPPA is looking to expand by establishing a mentoring program for young pilots and organizing regular fly-outs. LPPA welcomes new members, and encourages all flying enthusiasts to join us.

Meetings: Business meetings April 8, July 8, and October 14 at 6pm.

Hangar Flying and monthly presentations 6:30 p.m., 3rd Tuesday of each month All meetings are held in the Aero Safety Training classroom in Lincoln Park Aviation Hangar One at Lincoln Park Airport
